Investigation continues in accident involving student

Ponca City Police Captain Randy Tyner said Monday morning the investigation into an auto-pedestrian accident on Friday involving a  10-year-old boy continues.

The accident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Friday at Waverly Street and Grand Avenue, north of the intersection where a crossing guard was on duty.

The boy, a student at Lincoln Elementary School, remains in the hospital in Wichita, Kansas, receiving treatment for his injuries.
