OCTOBER 7, 1939 ~ OCTOBER 11, 2019 (AGE 80)

Hazel Margarite Stone passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019, in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 80. She was born to James and Minnie Stone on October 7,1939, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma.

Hazel was a long-time resident of the Ponca City area. Spending most of her time with her grandparents; Clarence and Rosie Weldon. Since 1987 she has lived in the Group Home of the Opportunity Center. Everyone there loved her. She is fondly remembered for her feisty, spit-fire attitude. She was known as the boss of the home and made sure everyone was doing things as they should. Hazel was truly a gentle spirit with love for everyone. She was affectionately called “Grandma” by everyone at the home. She found joy with her stitch work and artwork. She loved to color and paint. When she wasn’t busy, she could be found watching the Hallmark Channel.

Visitation for Hazel will be from 11am to 2pm on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N 14th Street, Ponca City. The Funeral Service will follow starting at 2pm on Friday, October 18th at Grace Memorial Chapel.
