Ponca City Ladycats finished their season during regional play.

Coach Daniel Wood seen growth in the girls this year, “Sure, this was a learning season and one of growth. The goal was to get better and end the year in a better place than we were at the beginning of the season and I think we accomplished that. We played a tough Union team to start regionals and picked a good win against Bartlesville 5-2. It was a good team win and had a couple of girls come huge at bats. Camryn Suggs hit a double that sparked a rally and Taylor McMartin drive in a couple after fouling 5 or 6 pitches while down 0-2. The third game of regionals was a tough one against Jenks. We cut a big deficit to four but came up short in the last inning. The girls never gave up and kept fighting to the end. If we take this attitude into the off-season then these girls are going to have a good year next year!”
