Homecoming Victory for Wildcats

Friday night was a perfect night of football for the Wildcats and the community. It had been a cloudy and rainy day up until about 4:00 when the skies cleared for a perfect night. Landrie Kinkaid, escorted  by Sheldon Tawkoyty, was crowned Homecoming Queen by Kale Gilbert, Student Council Vice President.

The Wildcats played an amazing night of football, defeating Shawnee Wolves 21-7. Eli Wohl put Ponca on the board with a touchdown run and Spencer Ball scored the P.A.T. with 2:31 left in the first quarter. Wohl and Ball did it again with 21.3 seconds left in the first half to push Ponca City ahead 14-7 at halftime. Kyter Welch, coming back from his injuries last year in the Shawnee game, scored a touchdown and Ball the P.A.T. with 3:32 left in the third quarter. The score stayed locked at 21-7 for the rest of the game.

The Wildcats are now 3-2 on the season and travel to face Bixby Spartans for their next game.
