OSBI offers rewards in two cold case homicides

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering separate $10,000 rewards for information that would help solve two cold case homicides.

The OSBI is seeking information in the death of 15-year-old Daniel Furr in Ada and the 2018 death of 26-year-old Britney Gomez near Ada, about 70 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.

Furr’s case is featured in the OSBI’s first deck of Cold Case Playing Cards , which were sold to Oklahoma Department of Correction inmates to generate leads in unsolved cases. The cards feature photos of the victims and information about the case.

Furr’s body was found in 1995 in a pit at an abandoned brick plant while Gomez’s body was found near Ada.

OSBI spokeswoman Brooke Arbeitman says there’s no indication the two cases are related.
