Earthquake swarm rattles central Oklahoma

GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) – No injuries or damage were reported after a series of earthquakes rattled central Oklahoma overnight, including a 4.1-magnitude temblor that woke many residents near Guthrie.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded four earthquakes near Perry late Wednesday and early Thursday, and two more earthquakes near Guthrie early Thursday.
The largest of the quakes had a preliminary magnitude of 4.1 and was centered 6 miles south-southwest of Guthrie. It struck shortly after 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Another quake – this time with a 3.7 magnitude – was reported shortly after 3 a.m. in the same area.
A series of earthquakes also hit Perry between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday. The largest of the quakes had a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 and was centered 11 miles northeast of Perry.
