Cars around Ponca City getting ransacked

Ponca City Police Department is asking everyone to make sure and lock your car doors.
Yesterday’s police activity log listed eight cars that were ransacked.
Police said some owners found items missing, other didn’t.
As of 10:03 this morning, ten vehicle burglaries have been reported to police, the majority of them were left unlocked.
An officer was called to the 1500 block of Holbrook Monday just after 7pm, the owner reported that a firearm was taken from his vehicle.
Calls this morning have generated reports in the areas of the 2000 block of Shasta, twice to the 100 block of Parkview, to the 1700 block of E. Woodlands, the 2100 block of Juanita, the 900 block of Monument, the 800 block of N. 14th Street, and to the 1500 block of Pioneer Road.
There isn’t a specific area of town that is targeted, vehicle thefts are occurring all over Ponca City.
