Beginning with the 2019-20 school year, every Wednesday at East Middle School will be “Wildcat Way Wednesday.”

On Wednesdays throughout the year, there will be an aspect of the Wildcat Way taught to the students.  The goal is to increase school spirit, build positive character traits, and for all students to know the meaning behind the Wildcat Way before they enroll at Po-Hi.

This week the focus was on the “W – Work Ethic.”

Corbin DeWitt, Leadership Development Coordinator at Pioneer Tech in Ponca City, spoke to the 8th graders about this aspect.  His speech defined work ethic and inspired students to develop a strong one. He included an inspirational video, audience participation, personal life experiences and positive motivation in his presentation.

Over the coming weeks, East Middle School will be covering the entirety of the Wildcat Way with speakers who are school and city leaders, coaches, and state officials.
