Personal injury collision in Osage County

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a personal injury collision occurred at about 5:11 p.m. Saturday on County Road Old River Road, about 240 feet west of Glasgow Road, which is about 4.5 miles south and 2.6 miles east of Ponca City, OK in Osage County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2017 Harley Davidson driven by Kyle Don Albee (SIC), 47, of Newkirk, OK. Albee was transported by Ponca City Fire and EMS to Alliance Health in Ponca City, OK, then to St. Frances in Tulsa, OK where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal, arm, and leg injuries.

A passenger on Albee’s vehicle, Calvia Jane Albee, 47, of Newkirk, OK, was transported by Ponca City Fire and EMS to Alliance Health in Ponca City, OK, where she was admitted in stable condition with arm, leg, and trunk external injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated that Albee’s vehicle was westbound on County Road Old River Road negotiating a curve left. The driver used the front brake causing the vehicle to strike the ground on its left side. The vehicle then departed the roadway to the right and struck a sign. Helmets were in use by both subjects. The condition of the driver was apparently normal and the cause of the collision is attributed to speed on a curve.
