Pecan Road, Lake Road both open

Ponca City Now - August 1, 2019 10:07 am

Earlier this week Pecan Road reopened between Lake Road and South Avenue.

Reconstruction was completed on the section of road near Animal Control, which was washed out in the June flooding. This repair took longer because it was a thicker asphalt road which was built to handle heavy trucking traffic.

A temporary repair to Lake Road between Kygar Road and Pecan Road also has been fixed permanently with asphalt paving. That section also was washed out during the flooding, and was opened temporarily with a gravel repair while County Commissioners waited for bids on a permanent repair.
