NOC offers high school juniors tuition-free credit

TONKAWA —   Qualified high school juniors can now get a start on their college education with tuition-free enrollment in concurrent courses at Northern Oklahoma College.

With funding by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and NOC, students can achieve up to nine credit hours of concurrent enrollment tuition waivers – spread over two semesters – before their senior year of high school. The tuition-free program is already available to seniors – where qualified students can achieve up to 18 credit hours during their senior year prior to graduation.

NOC President Cheryl Evans said, “This will allow more high school students to begin their college career early. By taking advantage of the college-level courses, students and their families will save both time and money.”

Students are still responsible for paying fees and books associated with the courses. The fall semester at Northern Oklahoma College begins Aug. 19.
