Ponca City Now - July 11, 2019 1:55 pm

Golden Villa Adult Day Services  will host its first fundraiser at its newly renovated location at 100 East Hartford Avenue.

A car wash, benefiting the adult day service organization will be  held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13.

The money raised will help fund a fenced outdoor activity space for the center’s clients.

Golden Villa Adult Day Services provides a community-based, safe, home-like environment for Kay County area residents 18 years of age and older who have special needs and therefore can’t be left home alone for extended periods of time. The 501(C)(3) organization was established in February 1988.

Board chairman Dawn Brakey said, “The Golden Villa staff and clients love the newly renovated facility and we are excited for the new outdoor space, where clients can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air in a safe environment. Our future plans are to add picnic tables, a covered awning and eventually other things like raised gardening beds. The possibilities are endless.”
