Stillwater Police arrest man in fatal shooting of Tonkawa resident

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – Police in Stillwater say fatal shooting early Sunday morning has led to the arrest of a 29-year-old suspect.

Stillwater Police Capt. Kyle Gibbs says Darwin Lonestar Marcel Doyal was booked on a murder complaint Sunday in connection with the death of 23-year-old Jared Lance Roybal of Tonkawa.

Gibbs says officers responding to reports of a shooting found Roybal with a gunshot wound in the neck in a van at a convenience store parking lot at 1:45 a.m. Sunday. Roybal later died from his wound.
