Annual free fireworks display July 4 at Lake Ponca

Ponca City Now - June 27, 2019 2:03 pm

Ponca City’s annual free fireworks show will begin at 9:50 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Lake Ponca.

All those attending are advised to arrive well before dark in order to find a good spot for watching the display and to avoid being delayed in heavy traffic. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating, and  remember no glass bottles are allowed at the lake. Also bring trash bags to remove your own trash after the show.

NO PERSONAL FIREWORKS ARE ALLOWED.

City Manager Craig Stephenson said the budget for this year’s pyrotechnic show has been increased to about $30,000.

The fireworks will be choreographed to music on KLOR 99.3 FM and KPNC 100.7 FM.

Personal fireworks are illegal inside the Ponca City limits.
