City of Ponca City to observe July 4 holiday

The City of Ponca City will observe the Independence Day holiday on July 4.

  • Residential refuse will not be picked up on Thursday, July 4.  Service will resume on Friday, July 5. For more information, contact Tim McNew, Solid Waste Superintendent, at 767-0454.
  • The Landfill will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and will REOPEN on Friday, July 5. Contact Tim McNew, Solid Waste Superintendent, at 767-0454.
  • The Ponca City Library will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and will reopen on Friday, July 5. Contact Holly LaBossiere, Library Director, at 767-0345.
  • Marland’s Grand Home will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and will reopen on Friday, July 5. Contact David Keathly, Marland Mansion and Marland’s Grand Home Director, 767-0420.
  • Marland Mansion and Estate will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and will reopen on Friday, July 5. Contact David Keathly, Marland Mansion and Marland’s Grand Home Director, 767-0420.
  • Lew Wentz Golf Course will be open on Thursday, July 4, but will close at 4 p.m. Contact Rod Alexander, Golf Pro, at 767-0433.
  • The Senior Center will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and will reopen on Friday, July 5. Contact Marie Trenary, Senior Specialist, 763-8051.
  • The RecPlex will be open on Thursday, July 4, from 5 to 11 a.m. only. Contact: Eric Newell, Parks and Recreation Director, at 767-0430.
