Sapulpa woman dies in collision on US 177 north of Stillwater

A 20-year-old Sapulpa woman died in a collision on US Highway 177 at Yost Lake Road, 1.5 miles north of Stillwater, at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Kayleah Joyann Bell was driving a  2004 Ford F-150 truck northbound on the highway when she pulled to the shoulder to attempt to make a U-turn, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Her truck was struck by a Ford F-250 truck driven by Johnathan Chance Taylor, 23, of Roosevelt, Oklahoma. Taylor was transported by the Highway Patrol to Stillwater Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

The Highway Patrol attributed the accident to an improper U-turn.
