Kristen Leah Thompson
April 15, 1991 – May 24, 2019
On May 24, 2019 our Heavenly Father called home Kristen Leah Thompson, 28, of Ponca City; an amazing mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all. Kristen was born on April 15, 1991 in Stillwater, OK to Terry Thompson and Colleen Thompson both of Ponca City.
Kristen grew up in Ponca City attending several schools in the area and graduating from Ponca City High School in 2009. She moved to Wichita then eventually moved to OKC where she received her Associate’s Degree in Business. She eventually returned home to Ponca City where she would raise her children and be close to her family.
Kristen made an unforgettable impact on everyone she loved and befriended. She lit up the room with her stunning, big, blue eyes, a warm, friendly smile and her sense of humor. She always knew how to brighten your day and make laughter flow freely whenever she was around.
Kristen enjoyed spending time with her daddy going to his lake cabin, being out on the boat skiing and innertubing, riding the jet skis, camping, jumping off cliffs and bridges, and snow skiing. She also enjoyed playing soccer where she always had dad there, not just as a support system and fan but as her coach as well. They have a very special bond and she is the light of his life.
Kristen’s four boys were her sun, moon, and stars. She and their dad shared many years together and they loved going on adventurous activities whether it was going to the old Drury Mill in Kansas, finding beautiful swimming holes all over the state, digging for salt crystals, to seeing historical sights. They always made sure the boys were active and learning while having fun at the same time. She cherished spending holidays with her children and family and was an amazing cook.
Kristen will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and anyone else’s life she ever touched. We truly lost a beautiful angel that day.
Kristen is survived by both of her parents, two sisters, Sally and Molli Thompson of Ponca City, four precious little boys, Landon Lennox, Liam and Lyle Harvey all of Ponca City, the boys’ father, Travis Harvey, nephews, Joel and Jeremiah Thompson, Blazen Sitterly and Adriel Ferrill, nieces, Kylei Sitterly, Alyssa Ferrill, and Savannah Thompson all of Ponca City, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale and Virginia “Gingi” Thompson, Louis and Lucy Brown, aunts, Sherri Dee Coy, Sue Meyers and Beverly Dillahunty, uncles, Vance Brown and George Dillahunty, nephew, Adrian Bujanda and cousin, Jeffery King.
