Zoning petition request withdrawn

Ponca City Now - May 14, 2019 11:29 am

The address for which the zoning change was requested is outlined in yellow on the lower left.

The owner of property at 3517 Lake Road, who had requested a zoning change from C-1 Local Commercial, to C-2 General Commercial, has withdrawn his petition.

The zoning change was sought in order to zone the property to be used as a medical marijuana dispensary. At a special meeting of  the Planning Commission held on May 6, members of the commission voted against the request after hearing from property owners and residents of the Ranchwood Manor addition.

The withdrawal of the petition means the petition did not go to the City Commission on May 13 as scheduled.
