Rivers crest in Arkansas City

ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas — Andrew Lawson, Public Information Officer and Special Projects Coordinator for Arkansas City, Kansas, has updated the current river levels in that city.

The Arkansas River at Arkansas City crested at 10 a.m. today at 21.2 feet and currently remains at crest. That is 1.69 feet lower than in 1998 (22.89 feet in converted measurement).

The Walnut River at Arkansas City crested at 28.5 feet at 8 a.m. today and currently remains at crest. That is 3.95 feet lower than in 1998 (32.45 feet).
