School district to honor retiring employees

The Ponca City Public School district will honor 15 employees who will be retiring at the end of this school year. They will be honored with a come-and-go reception from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 13, preceding the board meeting at the Central Administration Building, 613 East Grand.

Retirees officially will be honored for their years of service by the board during the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m.   The community is invited to attend.

2019 retirees include:

Kassie Bridges, 6th Grade Reading, West Middle School

Linda Broome, 6th Grade Science, West Middle School

Barbara Davis, Principal, Washington Prekindergarten

Dianne Degan, 6th Grade Reading, West Middle School

Larry Degan, Physical Education, East Middle School and golf and cross country coach

Amy Kurtz, Special Ed Reading, West Middle School

Kym White, Math, Ponca City High School

Mike White, Counselor, East Middle School

Jeff Denton, Director of Child Nutrition (He has returned to the district part-time as Director of Child Nutrition Adviser)
