Sunny Batschelett inducted into Oklahoma Indian Student Honor Society

Ponca City Senior Sunny Batschelett has been inducted into the 2019 Oklahoma Indian Student Honor Society.

She attended the reception at the Iowa Nation of Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Council for Indian Education and received her certificate and honor cord April 23, 2019.

In order to be nominated for the honor society, students must have a cumulative 3.9 grade point average, participate in service/leadership activities, and Indian cultural activities.

Batschelett, who was nominated by Ponca City High School Teacher Ashley Campbell, is the first Ponca City High School student to be nominated and inducted into the Oklahoma Indian Student Honor Society.
