Early voting laws changed

A new Oklahoma law changes early voting to the prior Thursday and Friday.

According to the Kay County Election office, this new law affects the March 4 Municipal elections for Blackwell and Newkirk

Early voting on Monday is discontinued.

These changes have occured because of SB 869.

Early voting previously began on Friday and continued on Monday.

Under the new statue, Monday voting is discontinued.
