Voters in the City of Blackwell approved Proposition No. 1 651 votes to 408, or 61.47 percent to 38.53 percent.

Proposition No. 2 was passed 900 votes to 166, or 84.43 percent to 15.57 percent.

Newkirk voters cast 87 votes for Brian Hobbs to 48 votes for Roy Dietrich for the unexpired term for mayor of Newkirk. That gave Hobbs a lead of 75.65 percent to Dietrich’s 24.35 percent.

In Tonkawa, voters chose Scott Kufla with 196 votes over Rick Allan’s 172 votes to be councilman of Ward 4. That was a lead of 53.26 percent for Kufla compared to Allan’s 46.74 percent.

Stacy Burns won the councilman at large seat with 281 ballots over Joe Kingery’s 88 votes. That was a lead of 76.15 percent to 23.85 percent.

In the contest for Deer Creek-Lamont Schools, Kellan Hohmann won with 62 votes, beating Kirk Schuelein’s 50 votes; that gave Hohmann a lead of 55.36 percent to Schuelein’s 44.64 percent.

For the Office No. 4 in the Frontier Public Schools District No. 4, Dennis L. Wilson captured 87.22 percent of the vote (116 ballots) to James Bible’s 12.78 percent (17 ballots).

In Braman, voters chose Marv Sandbek over Michael Barton by 52.94 percent (36 votes) to 47.06 percent (32 votes) for the Board of Trustees, Office No. 1. For Office No. 3, it was a three-way race with James R. Lunn (48.53 percent; 33 ballots) leading both Donna Campbell (42.65 percent; 29 ballots) and Cristy Reneau (8.82 percent; 6 votes).

All votes are unofficial until certified by the State Election Board on Friday.
