Intoxicated Ponca City resident injured in vehicle accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury collision occurred about 3:48 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 11, about 1.6 miles east of Enterprise Rd., which is located about 2.9 miles west of Kaw City, OK in Kay County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2016 Dodge Ram Truck driven by Mack Perry, 50, from Ponca City, OK. He was transported by Ponca City EMS to Alliance Heath Hospital in Ponca City, OK, where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated that the vehicle was eastbound on SH 11. The vehicle departed the roadway to the left, impacted a dirt embankment, and struck a tree. The vehicle rolled approximately 3 times, coming to rest on its wheels. A seatbelt was equipped and in use. The report notes that that the driver was intoxicated and indicates that intoxication was the cause of the accident.
