Special Education Department hosting third annual Northern Oklahoma Resource Fair

The Ponca City Public School Special Education Department is hosting the third Annual Northern Oklahoma Resource Fair on Thursday, March 28, at Pioneer Technology Center, 2101 North Ash.

The come-and-go event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Resource Fair is a great place to gather information on extra-curricular activities, therapy or health services, and many other resources available for current and future planning in Northern Oklahoma and throughout the state.

In addition to information available from various vendors and representatives, new this year will be breakout sessions on the topics of TEFRA (Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act) Fund, DDSD (Developmental Disabilities Services Department), and ABLE Tech (assistive technology services and programs).   There will be two sessions offered, from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and again from 6 to 6:30 p.m.   Each topic will be presented during each session.

The Resource Fair is free to parents, educators, and caregivers for individuals with all levels of disabilities, ages birth to 99 years old. There will be drawings sponsored by Exploration Destination and the Ponca High School “I Can” Program.
