OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Oklahoma City firefighters say one man is dead following a house fire on the city’s east side.
Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson says the adult man was found dead in an addition at the rear of the home Thursday.
The man’s name has not been released.
Fulkerson says three other adults escaped the burning home and told firefighters the man had gone to the room to investigate after smelling smoke, then was unable to escape.
Fulkerson said a suspected cause of the fire has not been determined.
