Pancake supper to benefit medical fundraiser

Ponca City Now - February 28, 2019 11:13 am

Proceeds from an “all-you-can-eat” Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper and Silent Auction at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2800 Turner Road, will go to the Ted Thomas medical expenses fund.

The supper and auction will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5. Admission for adults is $6 and for children 5 to 10 is $3.  Children younger than 5 are admitted free.

Carry outs are also available.

Ted Thomas is a 1978 Po-Hi graduate who is in desperate need of a liver and kidney transplant. He has been told by his doctors that the only way for him to have the procedure done is for the kidney and liver to come from the same donor.

Ted and his wife Debbie (Cremers) Thomas live in Ponca City and have been married for more than 34 years. They have two adult children and five grandsons.

Funds raised will be used for expenses not covered by insurance as Ted waits for his transplants.
