The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury collision occurred about 6:31 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 11, about 0.2 miles south of County Road 2460, which is approximately 1 mile north of Barnsdall, OK in Osage County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 1986 Dodge pickup driven by a juvenile male whose name has been withheld, 16, of Barnsdall, OK. The driver was transported to St. Francis in Tulsa, in stable condition with head and leg injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated that the vehicle was westbound on SH11, departed the roadway right, overcorrected, re-entered the roadway, spun around, departed the roadway left, and rolled one time, coming to rest on its wheels in the ditch. The report notes rainy weather conditions and two lane asphalt roadway, which was wet. The condition of the driver was apparently normal and the cause of the collision is attributed to the driver being inexperienced.
