December 17, 1993 – February 18, 2019

Cain Wesley Cook, formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died February 18, 2019, at the O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 25 years.

Cain Wesley Cook was born on December 17, 1993, in Ft. Carson, Colorado, to Chance Wayne and Marcy Lynn (Billings) Cook. As an infant they moved to Blackwell where he attended Blackwell Public Schools. While in high school, he entered the United States Army in the split up program and spent the summer at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, before graduating from Blackwell High School in 2012. While in the military he received training in heavy equipment operation. He also received his CDL license and began working for a trucking company for several years in Alva, Oklahoma. He then drove a truck for Jeff Davis and Sons in Tonkawa and hauled scrap metal. He later moved to Enid where he began working as a field mechanic for Caterpillar. While there he met and married Sandra Louise Faubion on February 12, 2018, in Newkirk, Oklahoma, and they made Enid there home. He entered the oil and gas industry by hauling water for NJECT and Aspect in Enid and Cashion. The family moved to Piedmont to make their home. He was a member of the Oklahoma Aquarium Association and enjoyed building his own guns, furniture and radio controlled cars. He was also an advocate and member of LifeShare of Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cook of Piedmont; his parents, Chance Cook of Whitney, Texas, and Will and Marcy Decker of Blackwell; grandparents, Darlene Wieland of Blackwell and Mark Billings of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three sons, Gavin Wiley, Benjamin Huffman and Colt Cook all of Piedmont; three sisters, Taylor Billings of Littleton, Colorado, Brittany Cook of Itsca, Texas, and Skylar Campbell of Itsca, Texas; and two brothers, Lane Decker of Blackwell and Nick Decker of Ponca City.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 26^th in the First Christian Church in Blackwell with Rev. Jeff Koch officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Nick Decker, Lane Decker, Paul Sears, Kevin Icenhour, Trey Hagenberg, Ryan Billings and Nate Barrett. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Anthony Byers, Taylor Billings, Mark Billings, Chance Cook and Will Decker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma  74631.
