ARKANSAS CITY, Kan.  The Arkansas City Police Department arrested a Winfield man Saturday after he allegedly drove his vehicle into the front portion of a local residence.

Kevin Lee Kenemore, 40, was arrested on suspicion of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $10,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.

Kenemore since has posted bond and been released from custody.

Officers responded about 6:56 a.m. Saturday to a residence located in the 1700 block of North Eighth Street after the incident was reported.

They determined that Kenemore had been in an argument with a 25-year-old Arkansas City woman. During the argument, he drove his 2005 Toyota Highlander in the front of the residence.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Kenemore allegedly fled the scene on foot, but was located a short time later and apprehended.

A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.
