From the New Emergency Resource Agency of Ponca City:

Our response to the 2019 Federal Furlough/Government Shutdown:

NERA understands that due to the 2019 Federal Furlough/Government Shutdown many of our neighbors who are federal employees or individuals that work for companies that contract with the federal government are out of work.

Under these urgent and extraordinary circumstances, NERA wants to make every effort to remove any obstacle we can for families receiving help. Therefore, NERA is extending eligibility by waiving income requirements to food insecure families impacted by the shutdown of the federal government for the duration of the shutdown.

If you or a loved one is impacted by the shutdown, do not let income be a barrier to receiving food assistance. Thank you for your support, partnership, and love as we fight hunger together.
