Marlene Ann Rhea of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away early Thursday morning, December 20, 2018, at her home at the age of 81 years.
Marlene Ann Rhea was born on November 15, 1937, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Lyle Marion and Lila Irene (Compton) Noll. She grew up attending Braman Public Schools. She married Jimmie Dale Rhea on February 5, 1954 in Blackwell and they settled in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. She later worked in retail sales at various businesses in Blackwell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was involved in the Jaycee Jaynes. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Rhea of Blackwell; a son, Kurt Rhea and wife Linda of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Debbie Thompson and husband Darrell of Ponca City and Lisa Dice and husband Kent of Blackwell; a brother, Howard Noll of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; two sisters, Karen Watts of Wichita, Kansas, and Susan Young and husband John of Lawrence, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Heather Angle and husband Eric, Travis Thompson, Amber Rinehart and husband Bryan, Shotzie Hall and husband Brad, Wesley Rhea and wife Destiny, Kale Dice and wife Ali, Payton Dice and Emma Dice; nine great grandchildren, Brayden, Madylnn and Beykmm Angle, Kingston and Ryker Rinehart, Rylee and Hudson Hall, Grayson and Maddie Rhea.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter, Kylie Dice.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., December 27, in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Coffey of Tonkawa officiating.
The grandchildren and great grandchildren of Marlene Rhea will serve as honorary casketbearers.
A memorial has been established in her honor with Tonkawa First Assembly youth group in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
