Rep. Ken Luttrell Named Vice Chair of House A&B Non-Appropriated Agencies Committee

OKLAHOMA CITY – State Rep. Ken Luttrell was named vice chair of the Appropriations & Budget Subcommittee for Non-Appropriated Agencies by House Speaker Charles McCall on Tuesday. Committee chairmanships and vice chairmanships were announced for the 57th Oklahoma Legislature, which includes 2019 and 2020.

“I am excited for the opportunity to serve my district and State in this role and grateful for the confidence House leadership has expressed in my appointment,” said Ken Luttrell, R-Ponca City.  “I am eager to work with Representative Kevin West, who is the Chair of the committee.  It’s important that these agencies are running in an efficient manner.  This committee will ensure that they are.”

 

The House A&B Non-Appropriated Agencies Committee performs an oversight for agencies that don’t receive state appropriated dollars.  For example, if statutory changes are needed for fee increases, the committee may address those changes.

McCall said he chose committee chairs based on their background, experience and knowledge and their ability to promote a legislative agenda that will improve prosperity and safety for Oklahomans.

Luttrell previously served in the legislature from 2006-2010, where he served as co-chair for the Oklahoma House of Representatives Native American Caucus.  He represents Oklahoma House District 37, which includes parts of Kay and Osage Counties.  His email is [email protected]
