Verla LeFaye Johnico-Hatcher of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died December 3, 2018, in the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 61 years.
Verla LeFaye Johnico-Hatcher was born on November 27, 1957, in Talihina, Oklahoma, to French Augustine and Nora Christine (Oshter) Johnico. She attended Tahlequah Sequoyah Schools. She served in the United States Army and served as a Tactical Wire Operations Specialist. She was honorable discharged at Fort Gordon, Georgia. She married Melvin Banister and later married Charles Hatcher. While in Blackwell she worked as a sewer for Southwest Cupid.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 13th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Willard Polk officiating. Burial will be in the Tuskahoma Choctaw Veterans Cemetery in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma.
