Appointment times filled for Angel Tree applicants
Ponca City Now - October 22, 2018 7:25 am
All appointments for this year’s Angel Tree applicants for assistance have been filled, coordinator Phylisha Kimbrel said Saturday.
Those who have signed up will have appointments on either Oct. 30 at Pioneer Technology Center at 2101 North Ash Street or on Nov. 1 at the Salvation Army building at 111 West Comanche Avenue.
The program provides Christmas assistance for families with children up to 12 years old. Children MAY NOT attend the application process, and parents will not be able to apply if they bring their children.
Parents who are seeking assistance must bring:
- Current photo ID — either a driver’s license or State ID
- Proof of residence — a utility bill in the parent’s name, a rental agreement, or mail that matches the parent’s name with address and ZIP code
- Proof of household income — a paycheck stub, DHS paperwork, unemployment documentation, food stamp documentation, or any documentation that shows how the parent maintains the household
- Proof of children — TANF papers, birth certificates, shot records that show date of birth, any legal form that shows the parent’s name and the child’s name and date of birth (Social Security cards are not proof that the child is the parent’s child.)
Families seeking help from the Salvation Army are NOT eligible for Christmas assistance from other agencies. All names will be cross-checked by the clearinghouse system.
All documentation must be available at the time of the appointment.
