This is Homecoming Week at Po-Hi! Homecoming Court announced

Ponca City Senior High School will host its Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 5, at Sullins Stadium.

Po-Hi’s Homecoming Queen will be announced and crowned Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. in a coronation ceremony preceding the game between the Wildcats and the Bixby Spartans at 7 p.m. The 2018 Homecoming coronation ceremony is under the direction of Betsy Easley, Student Council Adviser.

The Homecoming Court consists of a freshman, sophomore, and junior class attendant and three senior class queen candidates. The senior class has chosen the queen from among the senior queen candidates, and the winner will be announced at the game.

Attendants

Autumn Leist has been elected as the Freshman Attendant. She is the daughter of Jerry and April Adams. Autumn is a member of the Po-Hi Steppers, a member of the Po-Hi Tennis team, and is a Freshman Student Council Representative.

Autumn is escorted by Cayson Badley, son of Casey and Heather Badley. Cayson is a member of the Wildcat freshman and varsity football team and is a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church youth group.

Presenting flowers to Autumn is Hattie Steichen. Hattie is the daughter of Marty and Jamie Steichen. She is the Freshman Class Secretary, a member of the Po-Hi volleyball and track teams and is a Student Council Freshman Representative.

Peyton Wells is the Sophomore Attendant. Peyton is the daughter of Chanie Humble and Casey and Lauren Wells. She is a Po-Hi Stepper and a member of the Po-Hi Future Farmers of America.

Escorting Peyton is Payton Little, son of Paul and Tammie Little. Payton is a member of the Wildcat varsity football team and a Sophomore Student Council representative. He is a member of Northeast Baptist Church and attends Pioneer Bible youth group.

Presenting flowers to Peyton is Emma Burch, daughter of Wes and Kellie Burch. Emma is the Sophomore Class Vice President, a Sophomore Student Council representative, and attends Newpoint Church.

Junior Attendant is Madisyn Greene, daughter of Misty and Rick Johnson and Grant and Andrea Weiland. Madisyn is a three-year member of the Po-Hi varsity Steppers, a Junior Student Council representative and a member of the Po-Hi DECA.

Junior Simeon Faagai is Madisyn’s escort. Simeon is the son of Edmund and Tina Faagai. He is a member of the Wildcat varsity football and track teams and plays the cello in the Po-Hi orchestra.

Presenting flowers to Madisyn is Nicole Caughlin. Nicole is the daughter of Joe and Robyn Caughlin. Nicole is the Junior Class President, a Junior Student Council representative and is active in the youth group at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The 2018 Queen Candidates are Becca Boswell, Shae Burden, and Bailey James. Becca Boswell is the daughter of Brian and Gail Boswell. She is the Po-Hi FFA Secretary, a three-year member of the high scoring livestock judging team in Osage County, and a member of the Braden 4-H Club. After graduation, Becca plans to attend Cowley County Community College and Oklahoma State University to obtain a degree in Business.

Escorting Becca is senior Jakob Knutson. Jakob is the son of Jay and Jeannette Knutson. He is a member of the Wildcat varsity football team, the Po-Hi National Honor Society, and is a Youth Leader at First Baptist Church. After graduation, Jakob plans to major in Business.

Presenting flowers to Becca is Morgan Didlake, daughter of Russ and Tracy Didlake. Morgan is the Po-Hi Student Council President, a member of the Po-Hi FFA and DECA, and serves as a judge for Po-Hi’s Youth Traffic Court. After graduation, Morgan plans to attend Oklahoma State University to study Law or Veterinary Medicine with a minor in Business.

Queen Candidate Shea Burden is the daughter of Timothy and Jackie Burden. She is the Senior Class Vice President, President of the Po-Hi National Honor Society and a Senior Student Council representative. Shea’s future plans include attending the University of Oklahoma to study Interior Design.

Escorting Shea is Senior Luke Kirchenbauer, son of Darin and Kim Kirchenbauer and Julie and Todd Sheffield. Luke is a member of the Po-Hi varsity football team’s offensive and defensive lines and is a member of the Po-Hi wrestling team. After graduation, Luke plans to play football in college.

Presenting flowers to Shea is Senior Mary Lee Hainzinger. Mary Lee is the daughter of Hank and Sara Hainzinger. She is the Senior Class Secretary, a Po-Hi Student Council Senior Representative, and the Oklahoma State 4-H Vice President. After graduation, Mary Lee plans to attend Oklahoma State University to major in Agricultural Education and Communication.

Queen Candidate Bailey James is the daughter of Keri Gray and Shane James. Bailey is a Lieutenant for the Po-Hi Steppers, a Senior Student Council representative and a member of the Po-Hi National Honor Society. Bailey’s post high school plans include attending Oklahoma State University to major in Dental Hygiene.

Escorting Bailey is senior Reese Webb, son of Darrin and Kelly Webb. Reese is a member of the Wildcat varsity football team’s offensive and defensive lines, a Senior Student Council representative and a member of Ponca City’s Young Life. After graduation, Reese’s college plans include attending Oklahoma State University to major in Turf Management.

Presenting flowers to Bailey is Jamison Doornbos, daughter of Scott and Sheryl Doornbos. Jamison is the Student Council Secretary, a senior member of the Po-Hi varsity volleyball team and a 2018 Girls State delegate. After graduation, Jamison plans to attend Oklahoma State University to major in Nutrition with a minor in Spanish.

Kale Gilbert, son of Tim and Kathy Gilbert, will be crowning one of the queen candidates as the 2018 Homecoming Queen. Kale is the Po-Hi Student Council Treasurer, a member of the Po-Hi golf team and is a member of St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene youth group.

Lanie Varner will present tonight’s queen with her sash and flowers. Lanie is the daughter of Bart and Jill Varner. She is the Po-Hi Student Council Vice President, a member of the Po-Hi cross country and track teams and a member of St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene youth group.
