Kay County Free Fair set for Sept. 11-16 in Blackwell

BLACKWELL — The 101st Kay County Free Fair runs Sept. 11-16 at the Fairgrounds in Blackwell.

Don’t miss the Largest Free Fair in Oklahoma! With more than 90 vendors, an Expo Hall filled with exhibits, livestock shows, carnival rides, a pedal tractor pull and petting zoo, there’s something for everyone.

Enjoy free shows, including Oklahoma Chainsaw Carvers, Steve Crawford, Blacksmith Demos, Karate Demo, Dutch Oven Demos and Chuck Wagon Demos.

Bands scheduled to perform include Evan Micheals, BisKett, NOC Roustabouts, Jory Blagden & 51 Junction.

Sept. 11 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. is the entry time for Plants & Flowers exhibits only. Please come with class numbers for your items. Also it is handy to have return labels with name and address on them to cut down on writing.

The Fair Board and Extension Office in Newkirk have books to buy.

Entries in 4-H, FFA, and Agriculture exhibits only  can be set up from 2 to 6 p.m.  Monday, Sept. 10, and
8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.
