Jason was born on August 24, 2017 to Zachary and Kaylynn (Jones) Cantrell in Oklahoma City. He was born with a rare condition which, in the early moments following his birth, experts didn’t expect Jason to live beyond that day. However, they didn’t realize the spark inside of Jason was too strong for them to be correct. Jason showed them he wasn’t going to be limited by his condition, he was fierce in his determination to make a tremendous impact on this earth and the lives of people who would meet him. That day turned into a week, the weeks turned into months with Jason able to go home with his parents. Quickly, Jason’s became known for his infectious smile, adorable chortles, and strong will. Such a small person had big love for everyone he met; especially his parents. Jason’s greatest joy came from being bounced on his ball or in the arms of those holding him. As well, he loved his binky, smiling, laughing, and eating, especially soft orange foods like pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes and the like. In addition, Jason adored being active, whether going on walks, swimming, or singing bluegrass and heavy metal music with his daddy. The fullness of Jason’s life was due to his parents and others never losing HoPE.
