Paul David White of Moore, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He was 53. A traditional tribal burial ceremony will begin with a procession to the wake at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Center in Red Rock on Friday leaving Grace Memorial Chapel at 9:00 a.m. The traditional Feast will begin at noon on Saturday, August 4th , also at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Center, followed by a giveaway and burial at the Otoe Tribal Cemetery in Red Rock. Pastor Jim White will officiate the service.
Paul was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Wallace White and Velma Sue Left Hand White on November 12, 1964. He attended Marland Schools graduating high school in 1982. He was raised by his aunt and uncle Owen and Pearl Walkingsky. HE was baptized into the Ponca Indian Baptist Church as a young man. He was always smiling and had a very large sense of humor. He enjoyed singing, playing darts, and dancing. His favorite color was red, and he enjoyed rooting for the OU Sooners. Paul was a member of the Cheyenne& Arapaho tribe, Otoe-Missouria Tribe as well as the Iowa tribe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandfather Corbett Whitehorse, grandmother Ruth Vetter Whitehorse, brothers Nelson White, Wallace White, Jr., Alexander Walkingsky, and Corbett Walkingsky.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Valerie Sue Packhorse White of the home, Sisters Pearl White, Ella White, Wanda White, Cecilia Walkingsky Preslopski, and Kay Walkingsky, brothers Preston Walkingsky, and Woolsey Walkingsky, several nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
