Perkins man killed Sunday now identified

A Perkins man who died Sunday, July 29, of an apparent gunshot wound has been identified as Thomas Richard Craine, 61.

Craine reportedly was shot and killed by his son, Jerry Ray Craine, 36. The two lived together at 129 Payne Street in Perkins, which is where the shooting happened.

What led up to the shooting and other factors are part of the investigation and not available for release at this time. No arrests have been made as of yet. The Payne County district attorney will determine whether charges will be filed in this case.
