Cause of woman’s death not determined yet, OSBI announces

At 6:16 p.m. Saturday, July 21, the Newkirk police department requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation with an assault of a woman at 514 W 11th Street in Newkirk.

Michelle JoInn Gentry, 53, was found with traumatic injuries by relatives. Gentry later died.

On Sunday, officer arrested Brock Ryan Wilkins, 32, on a first degree murder complaint. The cause and manner of Gentry’s death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s office.
