Oklahoma City settles retaliation claim by ex-911 supervisor

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – A former Oklahoma City 911 supervisor who claims she endured harassment and retaliation after she reported being sexually assaulted by a longtime city employee has received a $150,000 settlement.
The Oklahoman reports that 32-year-old Shannon B. Nealy told supervisors in 2015 she was drugged and raped in 2005 by the former president of a union that represents Oklahoma City workers. The official, who was paid by the city as a union liaison, was never charged.
Nealy sued the city last year alleging she was passed over for promotions because of her race and further stating that her alleged assailant threatened and harassed her.
The city settled the case last month and Nealy says that she resigned as part of the settlement. She had been on paid leave for the past two years.
