State Board of Health meets Tuesday to consider Medical Marijuana Authority rules

The Oklahoma State Board of Health will hold its regular monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, in Room 1102 of 1000 NE 10th Street, Oklahoma City. Due to limited space available in the meeting room, overflow viewing areas will be provided.

The agenda is posted at www.health.ok.gov.

The agenda item expected to be of most interest concerns discussion and possible action on proposed emergency rules creating the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority program.

Sub items include:
a. Consideration, possible action and vote to open the
rulemaking record

b. Consideration, possible action and vote for final adoption
of rules

Other agenda items include approval of the minutes for the May 8, 2018, regular meeting; consideration and possible action and a vote on changes to the 2018 board meeting dates, location and times. Proposed changes include holding the Aug. 10, 2018, meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the Moore Norman Technology Center.

The board also will consider, take possible action and vote on the election of the 2018-2019 Board of Health officers.

Board members also will hear a report of the Interim Commissioner, as well as any new business.

Due to the online public comment period, there will not be an opportunity for public comment on the proposed emergency rules during the board meeting.
