Two-vehicle injury accident reported in Payne County

A personal injury collision occurred about 9:48 p.m. Saturday on Fairgrounds at 44th Street, approximately 1 mile east and 2 miles south of Stillwater in Payne County.

Brittaney N. Turner, 20, the driver of a 2003 Honda Accord 4-door, of Cushing, was not injured. Passenger Brennan K. Harry, 19, of Stillwater, also was not injured. A second passenger, 20-year-old Tyler C. Casey, of Stillwater, was transported by LifeNet to Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, and later transported to St. John’s in Tulsa, where he was admitted with head and trunk internal injuries in stable condition.

Scott D. Tyberg, 52, of  Perkins, the driver of a 2007 Honda Odyssey Minivan. was not injured. Cami R. Tyberg, 43,  of Perkins, was transported by private vehicle to Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, was treated and released.

Turner’s car was eastbound on 44th Street, failed to stop at stop sign, and proceeded into path of Tyberg’s minivan, which was southbound on Fairgrounds approaching 44th Street.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Turner was impaired by illegal drugs at the time of the accident and failed to stop at the stop sign.

One passenger in Turner’s vehicle was not using a seatbelt. All other occupants of the two vehicles were.
