Get a taste of culture at First Lutheran on Saturday.

The church and school will be hosting the Christmas Market Oklahoma from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..

They created this market to be similar to the traditional Christmas markets in Germany.

Shirley Zimmerman, market coordinator said vendors will be selling handmade items.

“ We have arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, baby items, artwork, pottery, just all kinds of things," Zimmerman said. "There are 80 plus vendors, so there is a wide selection of things that will be available.”

There will also be German foods like bratwurst and live music from school and church groups.

The German themed Christmas Market Oklahoma will not only offer food and vendors.

Santa Claus will be there for pictures too.

Another unique activity they will have is a cookie walk.

Zimmerman says the cookie walk cuts down Christmas baking for some families.

“ The cookie walk we have over 300 dozen cookies that will be for sale that day," Zimmerman said. "It’s just like going to a cookie store and choosing the ones you would like to buy for Christmas, and it saves people from having to bake them.”

Admission is free and it’s handicap accessible.

There will be parking at the church, as well as the high school’s west parking lot.

A shuttle will be running to transport people from the high school to the church.

All the activities have been moved inside due to inclement weather heading our way.
