Ponca City Now - May 3, 2018 2:34 pm

Safe Kids and the Ponca City Fire and Life Safety Council will hold a car seat checkup event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pona Plaza Shopping Center, 2101 N. 14th Street.

Learn how to install your child’s car seat or booster seat and find out if it’s time for a change!

Ponca City Fire and Life Safety Council is hosting the event where nationally certified technicians will be on site to show parents and other caregivers how to properly install car seats and check those already installed.

A limited number of car seats will be available for $20, cash only. The child must be present or an expecting mother within two months of delivery. The parent must show proof of government assistance such as WIC, food stamps or SoonerCare. There is a maximum of 1 seat per child and 2 seats per family.
