OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Jurors in the manslaughter trial of an Oklahoma police captain accused of fatally shooting a teenager plan to visit the scene of the shooting.

Del City police Capt. Randy Harrison is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the March 14, 2012, death of 18-year-old Dane Scott Jr. near an intersection adjacent to Interstate 35 in southeastern Oklahoma City. Harrison’s 12-member jury will travel to the site Thursday morning.

Jurors will be shuttled to the site in law enforcement vans. District Judge Donald Deason, who is presiding over the trial, admonished spectators not to visit the site while jurors are present.

Witnesses say Scott was unarmed and running from Harrison when he was fatally shot in the back. Harrison has pleaded not guilty and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
