Po-Hi students speak at Capitol on education funding

Ponca City Now - April 4, 2018 2:30 pm

Po-Hi student Tinika Bright, of the Ponca City F.O.R. Club, spoke to teachers on Wednesday inside the Capitol about education funding. She compared the education of Massachusetts and Texas to Oklahoma’s poverty in schools.

She ended her message with a quote from Walter Cronkite:

“Whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an ignorant nation.”

She followed it by leading everyone in the state song, “Oklahoma!”
