The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified a man who died in a single-vehicle accident about 10:34 p.m. March 29.

The accident happened on county road NS 265 and county road EW 47 about three miles south and two miles west of Ringwood in Major County.

Adolfo Rojas Aguilar, 39, of Ringwood, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on county road NS 265 at an unsafe speed, the Highway Patrol reported. The vehicle hit a washboard, lost control, left the roadway to the right, rolled 1/4 time and struck a tree. The Tahoe then rotated on the driver’s side, coming back to rest on its wheels on the roadway, where it caught fire.

Aguilar’s body was transported to Lanman Funeral Home to Helena, OK,  then transferred  to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City.
