The Stillwater Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that USA Rare Earth is heading to Stillwater.
After touring 50 facilities in 8 different states USA Rare Earth has settled on Stillwater to be home to their rare earth metal and manufacturing facility. Stillwater’s Economic Development team spent the last six months recruiting USA Rare Earth and acting as the project manager on this endeavor.
Rare Earth is expected to begin production in 2023, creating at least 100 jobs and generating more than $6.6 million in annual wages. The Stillwater plant will convert rare earth oxides into metals, magnets, and other materials.
Currently, this kind of manufacturing is happening only in China, making the US and much of the world reliant on China for these supplies.
